Hayao Miyazaki’s Castle in the Sky in Theaters this week

One of the greatest anime films ever made gets a special theatrical run this week. As part of Fathom Events’ Ghiblifest, Studio Ghibli’s Castle in the Sky will be in select Regal Cinemas and AMC Theatres on August 27th, August 28th, and August 30th.

From the legendary director Hayao Miyazaki comes Castle in the Sky, the story of a young girl who falls out of the sky and into the arms of young Pazu. Together they search for a floating island, the site of a long-dead civilization promising much to those who can unlock its secrets.

The August 27th and Augusts 30th showings of Castle in the Sky will be the English-language version, featuring the voice talents of James Van Der Beek, Anna Paquin, and Mark Hamill. Yes, THAT Mark Hamill. As the main villain Colonel Muska. That August 28th showing will be the Japanese-language version with English subtitles, featuring the voice talents of Mayumi “Luffy” Tanaka, Keiko Yokozawa, and Minori Terada.
