Longtime DC Artist Nick Cardy Passes

This just in: Earlier tonight longtime DC Comics artist Nick Cardy has passed away in a Florida hospice at the age of 93, as forwarded to me from a Facebook post by the Colleen Doran fanpage. His health had been poor for some time, and one of his last appearances was at Supercon in South Florida in July of this year, 2013. I met him at a few shows and had the great pleasure of talking to him whenever i got the chance to meet him and speak to him about his art, especially on Teen Titans in the late 1960’s/early 70’s, as well as many different covers for DC as well. He also did some Marvel Comics Covers as well. He will be truly missed- another great loss to the comic book community.
