Favorite local comic shop? FSC
Favorite comic books? Chew
Favorite TV shows? Death Note, Big Bang Theory, The I.T. Crowd, Smash, X-Men Evolution
Favorite movies? Thor, Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken, The Prestige, Elf, Tangled, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, If A Man Answers, Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Favorite books? Everyone Poops
Favorite music? It’s hard to pick a favorite. I’d say I have an eclectic variety from folky, rock, country, blues.
Turn-Ons? Quirkiness, humbleness, humor, intelligence
Turn-Offs? Arrogance, lack of hygiene, smoking
Occupation? Property Management & graduate student
Favorite artists? Audrey Kawasaki, sadly I suck with names. I can say what draws me is either the quirkiness of the art, or the way the women are drawn. That’s always caught my attention since I was younger. I always wanted to look like those voluptuous, butt kicking women that are so perfectly drawn.
Favorite writers? I can’t really say I have any favorites.
What makes you a fangirl? This is rather hard for me to answer. I’ve never really labeled myself under anything. I’ve fangirled over anything having to do with Death Note, Wolverine, Jessica Rabbit, Hawk Girl. L is my my biggest obsession.
When did you first know you were a fangirl? Again, I’ve never really put myself under any category. I guess maybe when I gawked, gasped, and squeezed the air out of this poor young guy dressed as L.
What are some current fangirl things that you are in to? I love any chance to dress up, although current responsibilities haven’t allowed me to enjoy cosplay conventions as much as I’d like. I’m quite obsessed with anything Sheldon from Big Bang Theory and gawk at Jessica Rabbit way too much.
Whats your best geek memory? Endless days and nights watching anime with some really close friends or playing soul cailbur.
What was your craziest geek moment? Interviewing Scott Thompson. He is absolutely amazing and hilarious!
Whats the best part about being a fangirl? Running into all these characters that you love and being able to “see them in person”. Being able to congregate with others who love what you love just as much and not feeling crazy about it!
What part of geekdom have you not been a part of, but would like to get in to? I’m dying to experience BlizzCon!!!!! I am dying to go larping! Just can’t find anyone who wants to join me! I heard there’s a place in North or South Carolina that is a 4 or 5 story building where you quest! I would love to do that and am disappointed there’s nothing like that here in South Florida.
Any last words? May the force be with you.
