GameWarp 2013

This past weekend was the GameWarp 2013, which ran from July 26th to July 28th, 2013.

GameWarp is one of the coolest events to go on in the central Florida/Orlando area. If you grew up in the video game craze of the 1980s or even if your new to the gaming world, the GameWarp is the place to visit. GameWarp happens once a year and is well worth the entire weekend you will end up spending there.

Make sure to clear your calendars for GameWarp because once your in a massive room filled to capacity with classic video games, pinball, import consoles and more, you won’t want to go home, trust me. This year I once again got to hang out with Keith Swanson, the GORF World Champion and David Cruz, the TRON World Champion and I also had the privilege of meeting Billy Mitchell the all time Donkey Kong World Champion.

GameWarp was a packed event, both with guest’s, video games, pinball, game consoles and tournaments, they also had Halo 4, Super Smash Bros., and Marvel Vs. CapCom 3 tournaments running side by side with tournaments of people trying to get the next big high score on video game classics such as Phoenix, Pac-Man, Spider, and more. GameWarp is one of the greats here in Orlando and if you haven’t made it out to any previous ones, or this years you need to plan on making it to next years as this event just keeps getting, bigger and better.
