West Orange Comics And Video Games Play Host To Spider-Man Artist, Alex Saviuk

West Orange Comics and Video Games had a fun time on Saturday July 8th 2017 with an appearance made by Spider-Man artist, Alex Saviuk. It is located right next to the West Orange Cinema and a good amount of foot traffic came by the celebratory event paying ode to Spider-Man: Homecoming.  Also, cosplayers portraying Silk and Spider-Man himself posed for photos.

Alex shared a history on how he got into the industry in New York City and also shared where he started with DC Comics and then moved on to Marvel. In his earlier days, early 80s, he was a back-up artist for DC Comics’ Action Comics and then in ’86, he moved on to Marvel where he did a lengthy 7-year run working on the Web Slinger.

It was fascinating hearing stories about Alex’s experience via his perspective and as an 80s child myself, for the first time since that era, it was quite a thrill. A hindsight, nostalgic moment, from my perspective.

Silk and Spider-Man (pictured above) were having a blast at West Orange Comics & Video Games. In between pictures, they were taking breaks for some casual reading and gaming.

West Orange Comics and Video Games has a nice area to walk through with great displays of comics, gaming and video games.

If you want to check out West Orange Comics & Video Games, it’s located at 1575 Maguire Road Suite 108, Ocoee, Fla. It is located just to the right of the West Orange Cinema when leaving the main entrance.

Just look to the right when leaving the theater and you’ll see it!

There is also the West Orange Creamery if you’d like to read comics and enjoy ice cream all in one sitting!
