Godzilla and King Kong Descend on New Orlando Walmart

These towering titans are made entirely from recycled car parts

What: Two massive statues – one of King Kong, one of Godzilla – greet Walmart customers

Background: Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, in conjunction with TNG and Walmart, invite the public to experience two of the world’s greatest beasts like they have never seen them before. For one day only, witness the colossal creations of King Kong and Godzilla, made entirely of recycled car and motorcycle parts! The statues were made by artists in Thailand and will eventually get permanent homes at a pair of Ripley’s Odditoriums. King Kong stands 16 feet tall and weighs about 2,000 pounds, while Godzilla stands 12 feet tall, is 14 feet long and weighs about 2,500 pounds. Both took approximately six months to create.

The behemoths will be assembled on site overnight on Tuesday, which will include the use of a crane, and be ready to stun shoppers Wednesday morning.
