Orlando Overdrive featuring Random Encounter, The NESkimos, Marc with a C, and more!

On Saturday, April 23rd, Ongaku Overdrive is presenting a grand showcase of Orlando’s best nerd music acts in one place, Orlando Overdrive. The event will take place at BackBooth in downtown Orlando and feature video game bands, chiptune artists, nerdcore emcees, and geek rockers.

Very notable on the lineup is the much anticipated return of one of the first-ever video game bands, The NESkimos. Before there was Powerglove, The Megas, and Armcannon, The NESkimos were rockin’ video game music hard. It’s been three years since their last live performance, but they are back with a vengeance.

Joining The NESkimos will be fellow video game rockers Random Encounter, nerdcore hip hop artists EyeQ and Quartz Relic, chiptune artist Boy Without Batteries, VGM remix powerhouse Benjamin Briggs, geek rock band Sci-Fried, and Orlando’s premiere nerdy singer-songwriter, Marc with a C. These acts are the foundation of Orlando’s nerd music scene and this will be their night to shine.

Orlando Overdrive is an all ages show. Doors open at 4pm, with the music starting at 5pm. Tickets range from $10-$13. BackBooth is located at 37 W Pine St, Orlando, FL 32801.
