Mattel Cancels Young Justice & DCU All-Stars Toy Lines

This week someone at Mattel accidentally let it be known that the Young Justice toy line was to be cancelled because of low sales. It is also mentioned that Mattel will be releasing one last line of DCU All-Stars. It can all be read here in the Matty Collector forums, and on Toy News International.

Mattel once again releases stuff people don’t want and not enough of what they do want and then blames slow sales and lack of interest for the cancellation of yet another line.

Doesn’t surprise me, over-used molds and 4″ figures that could’ve been made in the 80’s. Mattel sucks.

On a somewhat related note, if Hasbro ever cancels the Marvel Universe line I will cry. I will cry so hard. There. I said it.

Truth is Mattel, for some of us who grew with the 80’s know for a fact that Mattel track record on Boys Toys has been less than spectacular, with the exception of Masters, and yet theyve managed to screw their own property……three times by my count, and in three consecutive decades nonetheless….they do reign with Barbie, but they somehow fail even when collectors and kids interest is in their favor…..
