World Premiere of First Guardians of the Galaxy Trailer

I know Wednesdays is reserved for comic book reviews only, but I couldn’t let this day go by without posting the new trailer for the upcoming Marvel Comics movie Guardians of the Galaxy. I’m a true fan of Gene Colan’s original 1969 Guardians of the Galaxy.

I wasn’t too keen on the new 2008 team brought in via Annihilation, even though it’s a great story. Anyway I’m not gonna sit here and bitch and moan about comic book continuity and ret-cons but what I will say is that Guardians of the Galaxy wasn’t a movie I was exactly waiting for because of the team choice, but after watching this trailer, over and over and over again I have to say that as far as movie continuity goes I think this film will be pretty amazing!

I think the actor picks work, as a loyal fan of the WWE I feel that Dave “The Animal” Batista makes for a great Drax the Destroyer, Zoe Saldana as Gamora looks good too, and Chris Pratt as Star Lord, well I guess almost all movies need some point of comedy. Vin Diesel as Groot, and Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon or “Rocket” should be as good a voice overs on CGI animated characters could be.

Well this is that time when I finally shut up and you get to watch the trailer.
