Warm Bodies: A Heart Warming Story of the Zombie Virus

Warm Bodies is the film adaptation of Isaac Marion’s novel which bares the same name.  A new take on the zombie genre, which adds some warmth to the walking dead, or are they?  It depends on if you are a zombie or what is called a “Boney”, a walking, boney corpse, who will eat anything with a heartbeat.  The difference being, our zombie character R saying, “I will too, but at least I’m conflicted about it.”

That’s right a narrating zombie!  In the book described as “a young man with an existential crisis–he is a zombie. He shuffles through an America destroyed by war, social collapse, and the mindless hunger of his undead comrades, but he craves something more than blood and brains. He can speak just a few grunted syllables, but his inner life is deep, full of wonder and longing. He has no memories, no identity, and no pulse, but he has dreams.”  I think it sounds lovely.

What makes this story even more interesting is the love interest. Not between two of our survivors but R and one of the living.

Please watch and enjoy!

While acquiring a BA in Media Communications, I had the good fortune to take a few amazing Superhero and Comic Book courses. I also started a Zombie Awareness and Survival club, so students from diverse majors could survive the school year together. https://twitter.com/Geekurheartout
