IMG_20150521_151704The (Original) Craft Beer Club is exactly what it sounds like, a club where you receive a selection of different craft beers every month (or every other month or quarterly). Every shipment includes small-brewed craft 12 12oz beers in 4 different styles (3 beers each) with a monthly newsletter with information on the included beers.

Craft Beer Club arrives in a very large plainly labeled box. Because it’s alcohol it must be signed for by an adult.

April’s Craft Beer Club Box included offerings from Colorado’s Centennial Beer Company and New York’s Sixpoint Brewery.

Ewing New Jersey’s based River Horse Brewing Company is their American Pale Ale, Hop Hazard. Hop Hazard is caramel in color, has a strong hops smell and has a surprisingly light taste.

River Horse’s American Blond Ale is their Summer Blonde. The Summer Blonde is perfect for this time of year, it’s light and refreshing with a very mellow taste.

Dos Perros is Nashville Tennessee-based Yazoo Brewing Company’s American Brown Ale. This tasty ale has a slightly nutty smell and taste with a hint of caramel.

This beer is brewed by Yazoo for the Gerst Haus Germant Restauraunt in Nashville. This amber ale is very yeasty with an almost sourdough bread-like taste.

IMG_20150522_150911I’m glad this month was back to glass bottles from last month’s cans. The quality of beer also improved with two fantastic offerings from New Jersey’s River Horse and two interesting beers from Tennessee’s Yazoo.

If you’re a fan of craft beers and want a monthly shipment from breweries you might not otherwise have access to, check out the (Original) Craft Beer Club.
