IMG_20151001_013250Fantasy Crate is a monthly Magic: The Gathering subscription service that comes in two varieties. The first option is the “Magic Crate” that includes at least 3 MTG packs plus other Magic-related collectibles. And there’s the “Draft Crate” which includes 6 packs MTG packs and a MTG gear item like sleeves, dice or a deck box.

Fantasy Crate arrived in a large well-padded envelope.

September’s Draft Crate included 6 packs of Magic Origins and a pack of imported high quality matte sleeves.

These high quality imported sleeves are actually sleeves that go in your sleeves. For really valueable decks, folks tend to double-sleeve their cards and this is the way to do it.

During a transition in between Magic expansions, Fantasy Crate includes a mix of both the new and previous set. So this month’s draft has 3 packs of Magic Origins.

Some interesting pulls with Alhmarret’s Archive, Demonic Pact & Gilf-Leaf Winnower.

3 packs of Magic’s newest expansion, Battle for Zendikar!

The rares were Painful Truths, Emeria Shepherd & Serpentine Spike. I’m also loving the return of full-art lands in every pack.

IMG_20151022_0133253 packs of Magic Origins, 3 packs of Battle for Zendikar, an Ultra Pro Deck box and a pack of imported sleeves for less than $30 shipped. Yet again, Fantasy Crate’s draft crate proves to be a solid value.
