High School of the Dead

With the influx of Zombie media swarming pop culture, it’s important to notice the rare series that strive to incorporate artistic or innovative elements into this trite genre.

That being said, High School of the Dead is a surprisingly entertaining zombie horror series. The choreography of the anime transforms the languishing theme of zombies into a action-packed wild ride. In fact, HOTD entertains much like a video game, as each character masters their own special attacks, weapons, and war front responsibilities. For example, Saeko is a kendo club president who slaughters the undead mercilessly with her sword.

With vivid atmospheres and engaging fight scenes, this dramatic thriller is a rapid ride of doom, babes, and apocalyptic crazies. Enjoy this 12-episode drama and consider purchasing the manga series by Daisuke Sato.

High School of the dead is not only super raw, but also super available on Netflix! Worth watching the 12 episodes.
