IMG_20151114_164445The Music Box is pretty straight forward, it’s a way to discover new music every month through their 3 subscription options. You can choose a $5 envelope with this month’s Mix CD or a $12 box with CD’s and bonus items like MP3’s, stickers and other merch. The third option is both the envelope and the box for only $15 known as “The Bundle”. Once you choose your option you then pick a genre from Pop-Rock, Alt/Indie, Country, Rock, Metal or Surprise.

The box is slightly bigger than a large CD-box set and features The Music Box logo stamped on the top.

We last reviewed The Music Box’s bundle back in March, it included two CD’s, a mix CD and misc. band merch.

Misc. band merch including a wristband, sticker, guitar pack & button.

IMG_20151114_164539Glamour Assassins – Ain’t So Young

Full length CD from Connecticut-based new wave/synth/dance punk band Glamour Assassins. They remind me a lot of “The Sounds” from Sweden.

IMG_20151114_164627James Rawson – Tristan & Isolde

Full length CD from Illinois indie pop-solo artist James Rawson. Classically trained but has a very modern sound.

IMG_20151114_1650522 full length CDs, MP3 download codes, sticker, button & wristband for $12 including shipping is a pretty solid value. I dig the Glamour Assassins CD in particular.

If you love music and love subscription boxes, The Music Box could be a perfect match for you.

Disclosure: A complimentary The Music Box Subscription Box was given for review purposes. All opinions are my own.
