The Showdown Vol. 2

Writer: Russ Lippitt

Broken Icon Comics

This hellish continuation of the Showdown story somehow manages to still deliver the gritty thrills of the first issue! Fiends from the darkness are trying to win the barbarous race in hell, inspired by Dante’s Inferno. Vampires, monsters, zombies, killer-clowns and more pull out all their tricks in order to get ahead.

This series is dripping in gore and definitely intended for mature audiences. The dialogue between the denizens of hell fits the setting as its overflowing with foul language and hits on volatile subjects. The art style is very detailed and delivers on the gore for readers. The colors are well-done and makes the scenes very easy to understand. If readers want a blood-fueled story through the deeps of hell, then this is perfect for you!
