The Original Ghost in the Shell Movie Returns to Theaters

Next week, on February 7th and 8th are special nation-wide showings of the classic anime film, Ghost in the Shell. Directed by Mamoru Oshii and produced by Production I.G, Ghost is the Shell took the animation and science fiction world by storm in 1995 for amazing visuals, complex themes, and mature subject matter that, for the time, was rare to see in animation in the United States.

While there will be a Hollywood take on the franchise with Scarlett Johansson coming to theaters, you can now see where it all started on the big screen. February 7th will be a showing of the Japanese-language version with English subtitles while February 8th will be an English-language showing of the movie. Check your local listings for showings.
