“Wish I could do it myself, but lawyers and all that. I still love my Vita.”
In a very candid string of tweets: Bioshock Director Ken Levine had this to say about the potential of Bioshock Vita. “On the Vita game: 2k and Sony couldn’t put a deal together when I last checked. They seemed way more optimistic about this in 2011. Wish I could do it myself, but lawyers and all that. I still love my Vita.”
He then went on to mention what kind of game he would have liked it to be. “I was thinking a final fantasy tactics style thing set in pre-fall Rapture.” When Asked about the possibility of a Freedom Force Tactics Ken said “Thought about that as I own freedom force personally.” I personally would love to see what a tactics style game from Ken Levine would be like.
He mentioned that books about Columbia and Rapture were currently being worked on, but didn’t have much else to say on that subject.
Other than the current restructuring of Irrational Games into much smaller 10-15 person team focused on more story based games, we also know of his involvement as writer in the current Logan’s Run remake. We will keep you posted as more details become available.
