Raiden Announced For Mortal Kombat X

The God Of Thunder Returns!

During the Evolution world fighting game tournament in Las Vegas: Mr. Mortal Kombat himself, Ed boon showed the world the latest character for Mortal Kombat X, Raiden!

The look of the thunder god is very reminiscent of the original Raiden from Mortal Kombat 2. Gone are the shoulder pads that have made them self a staple in his costume since the PS2 era for a much more old school look; though, they didn’t skip on the details when it came to making him look next-gen. Quilted padding, Gold lined dragons on each lapel, and still sporting the classic conical hat look amazing on the new hardware.

Just like the new look, he also has Carries with him three variations just like the currently announced members of the cast. The first is called Storm Lord which allow him to set traps on stage with electric bombs connected by a wire of electricity. This is perfect for people whom like to play a zoning/ keep-away style.

In a variation titled Displacer: Raiden becomes a becomes a teleporting machine. Using his teleports to continue combos, get out of trouble and set up some scary mixups.

Thunder God is his most devastating variation. No longer having mix-up options of the other two variations: Thunder God adds electric properties to his combos making the enders even brutal.

Thanks to IGN for the high-quailty video.
